Villa Maravilla

Villa Maravilla is a charming and historic Spanish colonial villa located just south of Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone, in the exclusive Conchas Chinas neighborhood. Originally built in the 1960s by the producers of Night of the Iguana, John Huston’s iconic film starring Richard Burton and Ava Gardner, the home embodies the spirit of classic Mexican hacienda architecture.

Over time, the villa has been lovingly restored and expanded by its current owner, who shares: “I enjoyed various road trips into Guadalajara sourcing my Talavera tiles, antique furniture, light fixtures and Mexican Saltillo floors.” After a six-year restoration of the formerly abandoned residence, the result is a spectacular fusion of traditional design and modern comfort.

Set on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the sparkling lights of Puerto Vallarta, Villa Maravilla features lush gardens, a spacious outdoor terrace, and a private 4 x 8 meter swimming pool. It offers 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, plus a private office with a fold-out bed for extra guests. The upstairs master suite includes a private balcony with a spiral staircase leading to the jacuzzi and pool area. The downstairs master suite showcases the original shell-shaped fireplace and opens onto a small terrace. Two additional bedrooms and three more bathrooms are located on the main level, providing ample space and privacy.

The villa is impeccably maintained and includes a fully equipped kitchen with a high-end Sub-Zero refrigerator, wine cooler, dishwasher, microwave, six-burner gas stove, toaster and coffee maker. A private chef can be arranged upon request to elevate your stay.
